When you travel and take a holiday on the Amalfi Coast or Cilento there are many things to do and places to visit.

Positano:
Mondane is the place for artists with its pulsating colourful life. It was discovered during the fifties by Schickeria. Positano developed its own fashion and in 1959 made the bikini suitable for society. The centre hosts a vast number of terrific boutiques, combining typical shoes with the area's happy colourful fashion. Positano is a magnet for worldwide artists and intellectuals - all are fascinated by its charming position and the local hospitality.

Ravella:
A small town situated high in the hills and famous for its villas with beautiful gardens and breathtaking coastal views. Worthwhile visits are villa Rufola with its garden which inspired Wagner's Magic Garden in the Parsifal Opera and where he completed the opera. Also worthwhile is Villa Cimbrone with its glorious views and terraces decorated with busts.

Sorrento:
A classical holiday resort, discovered by the well-to-do English in previous centuries. Enthroned with an elegant palace and lively old town high above the cliffs, boats sail to the islands and to Naples from the harbour below.

Naples:
This fascinating main town of the region offers a variety of things to do and see. There are significant museums including the archaeological National Museum with the most valuable findings from Pompeii and Hercules, and the Capodimonte Art Gallery that houses a magnificent collection from the 14th to 18th Centuries. There are also lively shopping alleys, large operas and concerts, and the famous crooked old town of Santa Lucia (during your spree you should deviate into one of the stone oven pizza places and savour the fantastic original Neapolitan Pizza).
