Alberobello Apartments & Villas (Apulia)
The 'Trulli' limestone dwellings found in the southern region of Puglia, are remarkable examples of dry-wall (mortarless) construction, a prehistoric building technique still in use in this region. The trulli are made of roughly worked limestone boulders collected from neighbouring fields. Characteristically, they feature pyramidal, domed or conical roofs built of corbelled limestone slabs.
Alberobello is famous all over the world for its "Trulli", safeguarded by UNESCO as a world humanity heritage.
"Trulli Valley' is also known as Valle d'Itria, and is located in the heart of the tableland of Murgia which is called "Murgia of the Trulli". It represents an environmental and cultural centre that captures the imagination of tourists.
This is a town spread across the valley with more than twenty thousand dwellings in the essential trullo structure, but variously elaborated with individual requirements. Self catering holiday accommodation is available to rent in this area of Apulia, Italy with Puglia apartments or Puglia villas to suit your holiday requirements.
