Agropoli is a city in the Campania region of Italy, located at the beginning of the Cilento coast, on the Tyrrhenian Sea. With a population of 19,830 and dominated by the historical centre, with a feudal castle, it represents one of the most important and lively places in Cilento.

Recently some tombs predating the Byzantine period were found in the town which also houses the mediaeval ruins of San Francesco's monastery, and the Churches of the Holy Mary of Constantinople (16th century), San Marco, and San Francesco. The charming beaches of Trentova Bay contribute to make Agropoli an important seaside resort.
