Italian Agriturismo

There are a wide range of Agriturismo, or working farms, that run the length and breadth of Italy. From the very name it is easy to see that it is a combination of Agriculture and Tourism. Many of these farms, which vary in size, grow and produce olive oil, wines, and vegetables and keep cows and sheep for milk, and then produce a variety of further products from these materials such as cheese, pastes, pates and so on.

There are a number of Agriturismo’s that we work with because they combine the uniqueness of a lovely farm environment with a relaxing holiday so you really feel that you are staying in the Authentic Italy.

You can stay in Italy villas, farmhouses, cottages and Italy apartments for a self catering vacation in many regions surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and nature at its very best.

In Tuscany we have some lovely Agriturismo near Castelfiorentino, Volterra and Pistoia. For example:

Or alternatively this lovely Agriturismo which is a farm from the 1800's and now completely renovated. The location is in the marvellous hills in the province of Pisa and close to Volterra.

and thirdly, a magical area where this Agriturismo is located on one of the Pistoia hills in a panoramic area with lots of sun and surrounded by olive groves and wild forests.

For those wishing to travel to the less explored and more rural hinterland of Umbria we offer two lovely Agriturismo. The first is a comfortable and more modern rural complex consisting of five independent apartments, furnished with great care. The property is surrounded by 8 acres of Farmland:

By contrast, we have a beautiful Agriturismo situated in the wonderful hills of Umbrian with views over Lago Trasimeno. The vacation apartments are part of a larger working farm of 210 hectares growing and producing olive oil, wine, cereals and fruit:

Travel further south, past Amalfi and onto Cilento which is the location of a national park. Here there is some lovely countryside and an unspoilt coastline. Again we offer two Agriturismo. The first is a tastefully restored mediaeval estate. The idyllic location is in the countryside with panoramic views to the sea, but with quick access to long sandy beaches:

The second Cilento Agriturismo is a former Dominican cloister out of the first half of the 15th century. The restored natural stone buildings lie in the middle of 7 hectares of Mediterranean grounds, surrounded by olive groves:
