These services, depending on the location, include the wedding ceremony and venue, be that a church, castle or villa (note that most are civil ceremonies as opposed to the catholic church weddings). In addition, our partners offer pre-wedding meetings, translators, witnesses, floral arrangements, dining locations, photo and video services, a hairdresser and make-up, clothing hire, that glorious wedding dress and much more for that all romantic Italian wedding. In addition, each wedding in Italy will have a dedicated local event coordinator.

The Italian Civil Code on the 'Place of celebration' states that: 'The marriage shall be performed publicly in the town hall before the Registrar of Marriages.' Thus, for legal value, civil ceremonies in Italy must be performed in a municipal building. The good news is that most of these halls are located in beautiful and historical palazzos and are perfectly suited for that lifetime romantic event. In Rome weddings can be celebrated either in the Town Hall or in 'Vignola Mattei', which is a romantic and unique small medieaval brick wedding hall with red carpets and chairs, situated in a quiet street and surrounded by a lovely garden and close to ancient Roman ruins.

The way we work is that Authentic Italy coordinate the initial correspondence and questions with the local partner until the point at which a decision is made, and a deposit paid on the accommodation element of the wedding. From this moment on we put you in direct contact with the local partner and event coordinator who then manages the event from that point forward. They will then take total responsibility for the wedding arrangements except for the accommodation element which is booked through ourselves.
