Musso Apartments & Villas (Lake Como)

The village of Musso is on the northern coast of Lake Como, not far from Gravedona. It is situated in a small inlet, at the foot of a rocky spur called thc Sasso di Musso.

The village has been known since Roman times due to its white marble quarries which were mined until only a few decaeds ago. The most notable use of the local marble was to build the columns of the famous San Lorenzo in Milan as well as the Cathedral of Como.

Musso is a lovely place to rent your lake como holiday apartment or vacation villa and there are beautiful natural sites as well as man-made buildings worth visiting. The Church of San Biagio, a late Romanesque church with three aisles, is worth a visit; this building is dedicated to San Nazario and San Celso, and was extended in the 16th century. The small side porch contains the bell tower which was erected in 1731 and a tiny square with a Romanesque baptismal font which has been transformed into a fountain.
