The village of Peschiera is located between Sirmione and Castelnuovo and lies between Lake Garda and the river. Peschiera is located along the main connecting road to Verona, Mantua, Brescia and upper Lake Garda. The large forts, the Mincio-canal - the only drain of Lake Garda - the walls and barracks enclose the current old town into a ?stone belt?and it is here where many hotels, restaurants and shops are located.
