Pescaglia Area Information

The Tuscany town of Pescaglia is in the province of Lucca and situated at about 500 m above sea level. The population is only 3,500 thousand people. This lovely town is located on the east side of the Apuanic Alps and is surrounded by wonderful countryside. It is a great location for renting a Tuscany Vill amongst nature.

The town it self has the church of San Giovanni Battista, nut it is the surrounding landscapes and small hamlets that are worth cisitng on your holiday in Tuscany. Ther is the Teatrino of Vetriano, cliamed to be the smallest theatre in the world, and the Museum of Puccini, dedicated to the famous composer. However the origin of Pescaglia dates back to the ninth century, during the transitional period between the great Barbarian invasions and the growth of power of Lucca.
